Thesis
Fred McFeely Rogers was a pioneer in children's television. From 1968-2001, in 895 episodes of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, he donned a cardigan and taught America's children to express their feelings. Beyond the cardigan, Rogers was an ordained minister who used public television to take a stand for peace. He broadcast messages of universal love in hopes that young viewers would mature into peacemakers.
